Donna K. Ikegami

Donna K. Ikegami practices various areas of insurance, administrative, and corporate law, with an emphasis on captive insurance companies. She has been involved in formations, conversions, mergers, dissolutions, and redomestications of captive insurance companies. In addition to a traditional corporate and regulatory practice, she has taken an active role in supporting legislative initiatives affecting the captive insurance industry at the Hawai`i State Legislature.
Before joining the Firm, Ms. Ikegami developed expertise in legislative, state government, insurance, and insurance regulatory matters while being employed by the State of Hawai`i for over 17 years. While employed by the State of Hawai`i, she served in various capacities, including staff attorney for the Legal Branch of the State of Hawai`i Insurance Division and supervising attorney at the House Majority Staff Office, Hawai`i State Legislature.
